We accept several major commercial health insurance plans, including United Healthcare, Oscar, Oxford, Optum Behavioral Health, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Northwell Direct
If you have a different insurance plan, please check our private pay schedule or contact your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network coverage.
-
Yes, many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, which may allow you to get reimbursed for part of your appointment costs. Out-of-network coverage lets you see healthcare providers who are not part of your insurance network, giving you more flexibility in choosing your care.
Here’s how it works:
If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you’ll typically pay for your appointments upfront at the time of service. After your session, we’ll provide you with a detailed receipt, known as a superbill, which contains all the necessary information for submitting a claim. You can then send the superbill to your insurance company to request reimbursement.
It’s a good idea to check with your insurance provider to understand your specific out-of-network benefits, including deductibles, co-pays, and reimbursement rates. These details will help you plan ahead and make informed decisions about your care. If you have any questions, we’re here to help!

Before scheduling your first appointment, Dr. Hsieh will reach out to you for a brief phone consultation. This is an opportunity to discuss your current mental health concerns, medical history, and an overview of our services. We’ll also help determine if our practice is the best fit for your needs. If it's not, we’ll provide referrals to other trusted providers.
This phone consultation is required for all new patients to ensure we offer the most effective care.
-
Please plan to arrive on time for your appointment. We recommend allowing an extra 5 minutes for parking. Since we operate by appointment only, your session will start promptly at the scheduled time. We appreciate your punctuality, as it helps us stay on schedule. Thank you!
-
If you’re running late for your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Arriving significantly late may require us to reschedule in order to provide the full time and attention you need. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a smooth schedule.
-
We reserve your appointment time specifically for you, and we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows prevent us from offering that time to other patients, especially those who may require urgent care. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a $50 late cancellation fee. If you miss your appointment without notifying us, the full appointment fee will be charged.
Please be aware that if you cancel late or miss three or more appointments within a year, we may need to discharge you from the practice. Consistently missing or canceling appointments makes it difficult for us to maintain the high level of care we strive to provide.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain an efficient and effective schedule for all our patients.
